Ilkley Cinema is a boutique cinema in the style of the ever-popular Everyman chain, offering comfy sofas, fancy food and a well-stocked bar. Don’t worry, though, you can still grab an over-sized popcorn if you’re not quite ready for a portion of risotto balls with your blockbusters.
The cinema opened its second screen in August 2018 and they show a good mix of popular movies, art house flicks, classics and kids’ films.

Just over 20 minutes away from LS29, Picture House Keighley offers mainly current Hollywood fayre on its two screens. It boasts the sort of old school charm that you’d expect from a venue that has been around for more than a hundred years.

It will take you about 35 minutes to get to Everyman Harrogate from the Ilkley area and it’s a beautiful commute too. Like Ilkley Cinema, expect sofas and middle class snacks with a selection of blockbusters and indie films.

The fantastic National Science and Media Museum in Bradford is just over half an hour away from LS29 and boasts three cinemas. The IMAX contains the area’s biggest screen and shows mega-budget blockbusters, whereas the Cubby Broccoli and Picturehouse screens present a more diverse selection of flicks.
Cinemas Worth Visiting in Leeds
Leeds is a similar distance away from Ilkley as Bradford and boasts a number of cinemas, including its own branch of Everyman in the Trinity Shopping Centre. Elsewhere, the magnificent Hyde Park Picture House is well worth a look and the charming Cottage Road Cinema in Headingley is the city’s oldest film theatre.
